嘗試利用歌詞寫成一個故事：
城市女郎很早就知道，單以微笑就能登堂入室，即使是有錢的老頭，也不用擔心不能把他迷倒，只要打扮得滿身綴飾，時髦入時，總能出賣自己，找到所要的利益享受。
可是夜深了，縱然能出入豪宅，但大院仍只會顯得孤寂，不錯不管哪一種逃避，都得付出代價。想起自己那無依的愛，卻給了一位雙手冰冷的老頭，她為此感到心碎。又一個孤清的晚上，她告訴老頭，今晚她得出門，去安慰一位心情沮喪的老友。出門時，老頭像是已很清楚她的去向，也知道她在欺騙他，實際上她要到城的另一邊私會情人。因為：『妳掩飾不了妳那說謊的眼神，妳的笑容只能是淺淺的偽裝，現在妳應該清楚，妳根本無法掩飾妳說謊的眼神。』
城市的另一邊，有個男孩在等著，男孩有著火熱的雙眼，和偷不走的夢想，她充滿期待的徹夜開車。因為，男孩讓她有一種尋回自我的感覺。甫一抵步，她就撲進男孩的懷裡，兩人相擁倒在地上，她對著男孩輕聲耳語的說，這樣子不會很久，雖然她自己也未能掌握已出賣了的靈魂，但她卻發誓說很快就會自由回來與男孩一起，然後含笑把男孩推開，獨個兒步向窗前，彷似自己都不知道在騙誰，因為：『妳掩飾不了妳那說謊的眼神，妳的笑容只能是淺淺的偽裝，現在妳應該清楚，妳根本無法掩飾妳說謊的眼神。』
她轉身，給自己斟滿一口烈酒，然後望出窗外，凝視著天上繁星。又一個夜晚，一個漫長的夜晚，她只有把自己隱藏在暗角裡，然後垂下頭，不可抑止的哭了起來。她思忖著，怎會這麼瘋狂？是為了思念唸書時認識的愛人？還是太倦了？抑或是太懶的緣故？而與這個男孩鬼混，這次真的玩過火了，把僅餘的自尊都出賣了，更覺得自己真的很傻。
老天！妳當然知道如何安排，妳計畫得如此週詳細心。但可笑的是，以為出賣了靈魂，換回來的新生，其實跟過去沒有兩樣，妳只不過還是從前的那個女孩。因為：『妳掩飾不了妳那說謊的眼神，妳的笑容只能是淺淺的偽裝，現在妳應該清楚，妳根本無法掩飾妳說謊的眼神。』
